4th Belt, Road Women's Forum Kicks off in Shanghai
The 4th Women's Forum kicked off in Shanghai on September 6, to better promote women's development on trade, culture and transport in numerous countries beyond China's borders.
The event was sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, , the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and China Welfare Institute.
The forum featured three topics of discussion: Women's Development and Leadership, Women's Comprehensive Sustainable Development, and Common Development in Civilization.
It aimed to encourage more Chinese women to take part in development; create favorable international conditions; and, deepen communication and cooperation with all countries along the Belt and Road, said officials.
